COVID-19 Screening & GIS Tracking System
A public health platform built during the pandemic to support citizen self-screening, contact tracing, case monitoring, and geographic visualization of health data for local officials.
This is an internal government system with no public URL, so no real screenshot is available yet — swap in a real one at /public/projects/covid-gis-tracking/ and update this entry in data/site.json.
The Challenge
In the early stages of the pandemic, Sleman Regency needed a fast way to screen citizens, trace contacts, and see where cases were emerging geographically — with no existing system in place to do any of it.
Approach
I built a citizen self-screening portal that feeds a case-monitoring dashboard, plus a GIS layer plotting screening results and confirmed cases geographically so health officials could spot emerging clusters early.
Outcome
Deployed for Sleman Regency Government in 2020, giving health officials a real-time geographic view of screening and case data during a critical early phase of the pandemic response.
